Regional affairs are very close to our hearts
The MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP is a German family business which sells its body care products all over the world.
Since the company was set up almost over 70 years ago, we have had our production facilities in the rural location of Siegelsbach as well as Hüffenhardt in Baden Württemberg and are proud of the manufacturing base in Germany.
The fact that regional affairs are very close to our hearts is also reflected in our commitment to social causes. The majority of all donations in kind and monetary donations goes to associations and institutions in the immediate vicinity of our headquarters in Siegelsbach.
Children, young people and sports clubs are the main beneficiaries of our support. But nature should not be neglected either. That is why we are also committed to preserving the habitats of bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, which are irreplaceable for our ecosystem.
In the event of disasters, we do not hesitate to send relief supplies to crisis regions - even far beyond Germany's borders.
Our projects
Bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects are irreplaceable for our ecosystem. That's why we at the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP support an animal welfare project with our brand that creates habitats for bees and butterflies.
HABITAT FOR BEES
Bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects are irreplaceable for our ecosystem. That's why we at MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS are supporting an animal welfare project with our brand that creates habitats for bees and other animal species.
THE PROJECT
The Blühende Landschaft network works with farmers, municipalities and associations to create insect-friendly flowering meadows throughout Germany. The creation of these flowering meadows is financed by so-called flowering sponsorships, which companies and private individuals can take on. This creates new habitats for bees, butterflies & co.
With our annual flowering sponsorships since 2020, we are making an active contribution to protecting our native insects and preserving biodiversity.
INSECTS IN DANGER
Unfortunately, the number and biodiversity of our native insects is dwindling drastically. According to the Munich Environmental Institute, the insect population in Germany has declined by 76% over the past 30 years. Numerous insect species are threatened with extinction.
Because there are fewer and fewer flowers in our fields, meadows and gardens, insects lack habitat and food. Numerous bird and mammal species, which are at home in fields and meadows, are also suffering from this impoverishment of the landscape.
FLOWER MEADOWS
A flowering landscape with many different flowering plants is the basic prerequisite for a diverse insect and animal world and thus for an intact ecosystem.
Since 2020, we have created more than 128,000 m² of VANDINI flowering meadows for our native bees and insects with the support of the Blühende Landschaft network. Various high-quality flowering seed mixtures were used for the flower meadows and a total of more than 101 million flower seeds were sown!

The "Landesverband der Tafeln Baden-Württemberg" food bank association receives donations in kind by the pallet load from MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS. The association collects the goods from our factory and distributes them to the various outlets. The time required for this process is minimal for us whereas the benefits for the food banks and the needy are all the greater. Over 51,000 products were donated in 2017.

The fact that climate protection and social commitment go hand in hand at the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP is demonstrated by our climate protection projects in India, formerly in Africa. As part of the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) survey, we are committed to achieving further sustainability goals above and beyond the legal requirements and regulations. To this end, we have our company's CO2 emissions measured annually in cooperation with ClimatePartner and offset them through special climate protection projects. We are currently supporting families and households in India living below the poverty line with more efficient cooking stoves.
Many households in the state of Maharashtra in western India still cook on traditional open fires. This method consumes a lot of wood and leads to high levels of smoke pollution indoors, which poses a health risk for women and children in particular. This can be avoided by using better cooking stoves. The portable cookstoves distributed as part of the project are made of cast iron, require less firewood and reduce indoor air pollution and CO2 emissions. The families using these stoves benefit health-wise from this clean cooking method as they are no longer exposed to dangerous smoke pollution. As much less wood is needed for cooking, deforestation is significantly reduced, which promotes biodiversity. It also minimizes the time spent collecting firewood - a tedious task that is usually done by women and children.
The "clean cooking" project supported by the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP is therefore not only beneficial for the environment and climate, but also for people's health.
