The high priority given to sourcing sustainable raw materials at MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS is demonstrated by the fact that the company was already manufacturing all its products with 100% certified palm oil and palm kernel oil in 2018. This enabled the company to achieve the goal it had set itself for 2022 of reaching RSPO Mass Balance certification level ahead of schedule.
“We are pleased that by 2018 all of the items we sold contained 100% certified palm oil and palm kernel oil based on the RSPO Mass Balance model. This makes us a pioneer in this field,” said Dr. Klaus Hempel who heads up the Research & Development department.

MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS has been buying palm oil with GreenPalm certificates since 2013 in order to promote sustainable cultivation in the countries of origin.
The cosmetics manufacturer had undergone the RSPO Supply Chain Standard certification procedure in 2017 and was covering half of its requirements from sustainable sources. The voluntary commitment to increase the amount purchased in this way to 100% has now gone ahead, with the procedure taking place much faster than originally planned.
